The lashes are here! The lashes are here!

A trip to our local MAC store this weekend brought us face to face with the new lash collection, created by celebrity lash designer Christina Smith. (Seriously, she designs custom lashes for Hollywood’s leading ladies. If they trust her with their lashes, so should we.)

MAC Lashes

Some great features of the new lashes are:

  • Color—a unique blend of black and brown natural hairs to blend more naturally with your own lashes
  • Clear Band—a ground-breaking thin, clear band for easy application and flexibility
  • Shorter Width—a shorter width so they fit comfortably to the length of your natural lash line
  • Intentional Imperfection—no two lashes are the same or perfectly symmetrical for a more natural effect

We purchased #31, #32 & #36 but you can see the entire collection here.

And don’t forget the lash case can be saved and used for the Back 2 MAC program!

Because some things just don’t come easy

We hate telling you about something currently unavailable, but if you are a false eyelash enthusiast—you must try the Shu Uemura False Eyelash Applicator.

Shu Uemura False Eyelash Applicator

We got it last week, along with some Soft Cross False Eyelashes from the 2007 Tokyo Lash Bar Collection.

What we love most about the Shu Uemura False Eyelash Applicator is that we can see what we’re doing! Some other applicators we’ve tried are thick and bulky and hard to maneuver. (We’re sort of challenged when it comes to being precise, unfortunately.) Also, it’s made out of stainless steel and is so easy to use.

We’ll let you know when this is again available online. In the meantime, check your local Shu counter for availability.

Tweezerman Petite Tweeze Set

It’s rather funny that tweezers excite us so, but we must share our latest find:

Tweezerman Petite Tweeze Set

Tweezerman Petite Tweeze Set contains one slanted tweezer and one fine pointed tweezer (both stainless steel) together in a colored case for just $25. Throw it in your bag and make all your girlfriends jealous.

A makeup brush set to die for

billybBEAUTY Brush Set

The Makeup Girl is talking about these new brushes by billybBEAUTY and we can’t wait to get our hands on them.

Billy B. is one of the most successful and sought after makeup artists in the entertainment industry (also? A total hottie!).

Drawing on 20 years experience in the business, he created this incredible set of brushes with ease of use and maximum performance in mind.

Flawless makeup begins with the right tools—and no Makeup Bag should be without billybBEAUTY’s affordable, customized makeup brushes.

Prices range from $15 to $36, or $250 for the entire collection. (A steal, considering we’ve spent more on our hair in one sitting.)
