Teen Corner: Mother’s Day Tribute

Love, Bree

HI!!!!
I’m not sure if anyone remembers me, but I’m Bree—-and this is supposed to be my Teen Corner. Hahaha!
I won’t bore you with the stupid little details of my boring (but busy!) life because the last thing you want to hear about is school, volleyball, babysitting, volleyball and more volleyball.
Also? Gossip Girl is back. Let there be peace on earth. (Gossip Girl is very time consuming, people. If you don’t hit rewind on your TiVo time and time again to analize Chuck’s facial expressions, you don’t know what you’re missing!)
On to the beauty.
This month I found two products that I can’t live without. The first seems kind of crazy, because I’ve seen it around the house for years, but I’ve never actually tried it: Aquaphor Healing Ointment .

Aquaphor is not very glamorous but for chapstick/lip balm addicts, it’s the best. The consistency is smooth like Vaseline, but stays on forever. It is especially amazing if you’re outside on a windy day or in a gym playing a sweaty game of volleyball.
The second is DuWop DoubleGlow7 , a product I never would have tried had my mom not insisted. I never imagined something so subtle could make such a difference, but a little of this on my cheekbones or eyelids and my face looks all glow-y and pretty. Why would I ever go without it again?

Before I head off to cram for a test, I want to wish my littlest sister, Janey, a happy happy happy birthday. She turned SIX yesterday:

(Here’s the birthday girl with two of her friends from kindergarten. If you can’t figure out which one is Janey, let me give you two hints: LIP. GLOSS.)

It’s spring break and I’m in LA, baby!

Yesterday we went on a tour into the Hollywood Hills and stalked the homes of people like Orlando Bloom, Brad Pitt and Ryan Seacrest. It sounds lame, I know, but it was so much fun!
The best part of the tour was when we pulled up on the street behind Jimmy Kimmel Live and the Jonas Brothers just happened to be on stage performing. My five-year-old little sister went COMPLETELY NUTS. She is in love with the Jonas Brothers and I can’t even tell you how excited she was. Her little legs were shaking as I held her up (the bus was open on top) for a perfect view of Joe Jonas, whom she screamed "I love you!" to several times. Our super fun tour driver pulled over and let her watch the entire first song! Thankfully the other people on our tour didn’t mind waiting while Janey got her freak on (they found it quite hilarious, actually).
This afternoon, Bailey is getting her hair done at the Warren Tricomi Salon on Melrose Avenue while my mom interviews the stylist. Her hair is totally fried and disgusting, so I’m excited to see how it turns out.
Check back tomorrow for pictures and details on how to care for over-processed/damaged hair.
xo,
Bree

Guess what, party people? Today is MY BIRTHDAY!

I am 16! (I feel so old .)
To celebrate my specialness, my face decided to break out and gift me with gross red bumps along my hairline. (Way to start off 16, right?)

A quick search of the product cabinet brought me to Johnson & Johnson Gentle Cleansing Wash , a really gentle, non-irritating face wash that’s soap-free and hypoallergenic.
My skin might need something stronger in a day or two, but I love how this takes off all my makeup, leaving my skin feeling clean without being dry or tight.
And it retails for less than $6—totally affordable for a girl that needs to start paying for her own car insurance!
PS- Can I just say right now how much I’m LOVING the new MAC Fafi collection ?! I promise to post a pic soon to show you how insane I look in the Not So Innocent lipstick. Insane, I say.
PPS- Happy birthday to me!
