Prescriptives Summer 2009 Color Collection is inspired by the classic Calyx fragrance.

With vibrant and energizing tones, this collection gives eyes a pop of color in shimmering yellow, sparkling teal and bright green. Lips are layered with juicy mango, pink grapefruit and guava shades.

My favorite in this collection is the new guava flavored Exhilarating Lip Gloss. This comes in three shades inspired by Calyx’s citrus notes:

The New Guava is my pick for a sheer gloss with a hint of shimmer and tons of shine. (Also, it’s non-sticky which is a lipgloss MUST here at Makeup Bag.)

Embrace the heat this summer with Bohemia, the new color collection from Laura Mercier.

Earthy, warm colors for the eyes, lips and cheeks are glowing with shimmer and shine. The limited edition Eye Mosaic comes in two quads of coordinating shades called Mediterranean Sea and Sahara Sun (pictured below).

I’m most impressed with the Moroccan Bronze Illuminating Powder, a gorgeous highlighting powder with tones of bronze and copper expertly embossed with a design so pretty you won’t want to use it.

Also in this collection are two limited edition Lip Colour-Shimmer shades: Boho Bronze and Spiced.
