Last weekend my friend Julia came to visit from Washington, D.C.

We had a fun, girls-only weekend of shopping, nail painting, baking and wine drinking. Julia even brought her Anthropologie holiday ring along so we could stage a little photo shoot with matching rings!

This week I have my nails painted Zoya Ciara while Julia opted for CHANEL Rouge Noir, one of the many polish changes she made throughout the weekend (she wasn’t going to let the Valente girls show her up!)

I have an adorable video of Janey and Julia baking brownies that I’ll be uploading later today.

Revlon Vixen is an old favorite that I thought I had run out of.

This weekend I was cleaning Janey’s room and found a stash of my makeup in her “secret hiding spot” (aka: the triangular space between the diagonally placed dresser and the corner where the walls meet)—Revlon Vixen included.

This nail polish is a gorgeous wine-red that’s perfect for fall.

Also, in case you didn’t notice, I’m wearing an amazing holiday ring that was a gift from my fellow beauty blogger and BBBFF, Julia.

Can I just say that I am soooo in love with this ring? It’s not the easiest to type with, but holding a glass of wine–no problem.

As the morning sun hit my desk earlier today, I was totally mesmerized by my nail polish.

NARS Rouge Andalou (from the NARS Holiday 2009 collection) is a candy apple red that’s so shimmery, I can’t take my eyes off my nails. I painted my nails on Friday—THREE WHOLE DAYS ago—and they still look perfect!

Um, seriously? Could this polish be ANY more gorgeous? This could possibly be my new favorite nail color. (I say possibly because I haven’t tried it yet, but this is definitely on my shopping list for this weekend.)
