Yesterday, Bree and I tried the Incoco Dry Nail Applique after we received a few samples from the company.

Incoco Nail Polish Strips are made from real nail polish and have a base coat, color and top coat combined into one strip. They come in a package with two sheets of nail strips (shown above) for a total of 32 sizes.

I loved that there is no drying time and no worry of spills, and I REALLY LOVE the nail polish remover cloths.

What I didn’t love is the process of applying the nail polish strips.

I’m an expert painter when it comes to doing my own nails so the ordeal of fumbling through the application of Incoco nail strips was not fun. I almost didn’t finish my right hand because it took me so long. However once I made it through and applied nail strips to all 10 fingernails, I was rather impressed with how good they looked.

Bree easily applied the nail strips to her left hand and asked for my help with her right—ending up with a really great looking manicure.

At $7.99 for one manicure set (includes nail strips, mini file and cuticle stick, tester strips, reseal tape and one polish remover cloth) I wouldn’t want to replace my regular polish routine for these strips. However, I like the idea of being able to pack them on a trip (I could even apply them on an airplane!) or having a set around for those occasions when I have zero drying time.

Incoco Dry Nail Applique Nail Polish Strips are available in 30 colors and 6 French-manicure shades and can be purchased at Walgreen’s or online at incoco.com for $7.99.

Essie Wicked is a favorite nail shade here at Makeup Bag headquarters (Bailey was just wearing it last week) and now there is an entire Wicked collection to be excited about.

CHANEL Jade Nail Colour

jade with envy

I received this update from CHANEL News in my inbox this morning and I’m so inspired!

Everything about this collage makes me happy. While I can’t afford to buy those amazing shoes or that gorgeous jewelry, I can certainly paint my nails CHANEL Jade green:

And then I can go about my fantastic day…

Nail Flavor of the Week: MAC Beyond Jealous

mac beyond jealous

I’m beyond sad that Beyond Jealous, a gorgeous “blackened blue green” nail polish by MAC looks more black than blue-green on my nails.

The color in the bottle is the darkest blue-green cream that would likely be achieved with just one coat. I painted on two coats, as always, which is why my color ended up more black-ish.

This hasn’t stopped me from proudly displaying Beyond Jealous on all my fingers and toes, though. I’m a huge fan of the darkest of dark nail colors and Beyond Jealous is certainly dark.
