These Summer Trend Bags from MAC are so fun for summer. The high-shine fluorescent patent is sure to draw attention every time you reach for your lip gloss.

We really like the yellow, but it’s way too small for all the crap we carry along with us on a daily basis.

The turquoise is too big for our handbag and not big enough to be used as our main Makeup Bag —so orange it is.

Packing for a trip has got the be the worst experience ever. We are notorious for waiting until the very last second (as in, we’re leaving for the airport at 5:00 a.m. and we still aren’t packed at 4:45) which drives our husband BONKERS.

This inability to prepare means we 1) overpack—because you never know when you’ll need 12 extra pairs of socks on an overnight trip, and 2) forget our brain at home, along with our cell phone charger (but we brought our passport—which will totally come in handy on our domestic flight. Hello!).

This year, along with becoming more intimate with fragrance (more on that later), we’ve resolved to become a better packer. A more relaxed packer. A prepared packer.

Helping us achieve this improbable goal is our newest obsession: Zazendi Bags.

These bags have singlehandedly transformed the way we pack. In a Zazendi Dopette bag (shown above—the paisley is our favorite) we can fit our travel hair dryer, a big round brush (a Makeup Bag hair staple) and our travel size hair products.

In the last few weeks, we’ve been on three planes and taken one road trip and we could not have been more prepared.

Babies are so sweet and adorable, we just love love love them. If we didn’t know that eventually they turn into nightmarish teenagers—we might just have a few more.

Because it does not make economical or emotional sense to add to our collection of babies, we like to satisfy our need for “sweet and adorable” with new Makeup Bags. Last weekend while shopping with Annie in Bergdorf Goodman, we spotted this insanely chic white makeup bag included in the Phyto Black Lift Set by Shu Uemura.

We have yet to try the Phyto Black skincare line and couldn’t justify spending $300 for the super-chic makeup bag alone (without knowing how our skin would like the products) so we had to walk away.

But, guess what? The white makeup bag is sold separately on the Shu Uemura website for just $50. (It’s currently on back-order, but once it’s available, we’ll be getting it.)
