Last month while I was in New York with my fellow Daily Makeover Beauty Bloggerati members, we stopped by the Lancôme Boutique on Columbus Avenue for some cupcakes and fun with the Lancôme beauty team.

While I was there, I had an opportunity to preview a ton of gorgeous new Lancôme products and witness superstar makeup artist Sandy Linter in action. Here she is (below) applying makeup to my friend Annie from The Jet Set Girls:

I left the boutique with a sample of the new Lancôme Hypnose DRAMA mascara and I have to say, next to Latisse, this is the best damn thing that’s happened to my lashes ALL YEAR.

Lancôme Hypnose DRAMA gives me huge, thick, false-looking lashes without clumping or flaking. The brush is curved into an ‘S’ shape to help grab even the tiniest lashes, and the formula features highly saturated waxes and intense black pigments for maximum lash volume.

AND, here’s the best part: Lancôme Hypnose DRAMA doesn’t unfurl my curl (longtime readers know that me and my Asian lashes have issues with keeping the curl) and it washes off with soap and water.

I can’t even believe my good fortune!

It’s no secret that my favorite drugstore mascara is CoverGirl LashBlast. Now, there’s a new version of LashBlast coming to town: LASHBLAST LENGTH MASCARA!!

I’ve been testing a sample of this new formula and it really does lengthen lashes! As a contact lense-wearer I haven’t experienced any irritation or flaking from this formula that’s said to contain nylon.

I’m kind of disappointed that it doesn’t have my favorite chubby wand going on, but I suppose to achieve length instead of volume the slimmer wand is more appropriate.

Bobbi Brown introduced Perfectly Defined Mascara earlier this year and so far it’s received rave reviews. With an all-day wear formula that resists flaking and a unique multi-comb brush that grabs even the tiniest hairs, this mascara has quickly become a staple in makeup bags everywhere.

Right away, I knew Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Mascara was special. Why, might you ask? Well for starters, its brush. It’s smaller than most, which is extra helpful when you need to make every single lash count. The teeny-tiny brush allowed me to maneuver around my eye area and pump up each individual lash, which is key when you have so few! The formula wore all day with nary a flake in sight. Interestingly enough, my trusty Neutrogena eye makeup remover couldn’t remove this mascara, but removing it with a bit of hot water and a washcloth did the trick.
