Going to extremes

Resilience Lift Extreme Ultra Firming Makeup SPF 15

Have y’all tried Estée Lauder Resilience Lift Extreme Ultra Firming Makeup SPF 15 yet?

Some of you are too young to notice the effects of age on your complexion, but trust us, there comes a day when you’ll look in the mirror and notice your skin to be a little less bright, a little less smooth, a little less firm than the day before.

For healthy skin, sunscreen and hydration are key, especially as we get into our thirties and beyond. Resilience Lift Extreme Ultra Firming Makeup SPF 15 contains key ingredients like hyaluronic acid to keep skin supple and hydrated all day and soy protein to provide support and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. These key ingredients immediately work to hydrate and improve the skin’s elasticity while providing even, natural coverage.

We’ve been using this for the last few days (Dawn looks best on us) and already our skin feels less dry throughout the day. While it takes up to four weeks to notice the firming effect, the great coverage, sunscreen and ability to retain moisture are reason enough to keep using this product.

With 15 true-color shades, you should definitely be able to find one that’ll work for you.

City Stick

Clinique City Stick SPF 15

Clinique has re-introduced a great product for creating flawless skin in a hurry.

City Stick SPF 15 is an oil-free stick foundation that offers natural coverage while protecting skin from the environment. Because it has a silicone base, it blends easily and feels lightweight on the skin and it contains a lightweight polymer to control shine.

And you know how we hate goopy, messy, crusty foundation bottles? We can toss this bad boy into our bag without hesitation and touch up throughout the day with confidence.

City Stick SPF 15 is offered in six versatile shades including Ivory Twist, Honey Stick, Buffed, Vanilla Stick, Beige Twist and Spice Stick.

Beautiful skin has never been so easy.

Beauty on the go

There’s something about an overturned foundation bottle that makes us CRRRAAAAAZZZY.

We like our bottles to be nice and clean with no crusty product dried between the threads or gooped all up in the cap making a mess every time we unscrew it. For this reason, it is a rare occassion that we bring liquid foundation with us when we’re on the go.MAX Factor Pan-Stik

And as much as we love tinted moisturizers, sometimes we need a little more coverage than they can provide.

It’s times like these that we count on MAX Factor Pan-Stik Ultra Creamy Makeup to give us smooth, creamy, medium to full coverage with a demi-matte finish. This stick foundation blends easily and can also double as a concealer in a pinch.

And? No goopy mess in our Makeup Bag.

Sensual Skin for us sensible people

If you were to walk by a product that promised to enhance your skin in sensual ways, could you turn a cheek?

Be honest.Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer

Ever since Melissa from DeLush told us that she uses Kevyn Aucoin’s Sensual Skin Enhancer to achieve perfect skin (our words, not hers, because she really does have perfect skin) we’ve been dying to try it.

This product was created by makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin to replicate the look of healthy, radiant, dewy skin (which is a look that Kevyn created beautifully on his clients.)

The Sensual Skin Enhance can be a tad tricky, as it is VERY concentrated so you only need a pin sized amount. After you’ve sparingly applied to freshly moisturized skin, use the warmth of your fingertip to blend, blend, blend. And then blend some more.

With 16 shades to choose from, you can use this as a concealer, a highlighting foundation, or an all over foundation. Once this product sets, it isn’t going ANYWHERE, so it’s perfect for a 14 hour work day, or a night out dancing. (We prefer the latter.)

While it’s not cheap, the Sensual Skin Enhancer and the recommended application brush (which has the tiniest tip to prevent users from applying too much product at once) set us back $75 (including tax) but it was totally worth every penny.
