Bitter cold

We are freezing our tushies off here in Nevada, as we’ve had a bitter cold front lingering for the last several days. Even Las Vegas is not exempt. We flew down to Sin City on Friday for a quick meeting and nearly fell over from freezing gusts of wind and reports of possible snow. SNOW! In Las Vegas!

Weather like this wreaks havoc on our skin, leaving us dry and itchy and pretty much miserable. We’ve been going through body oil at rapid speeds, slathering ourself at every opportunity in the hopes of holding hostage at least a tiny bit of moisture for our parched skin.

Camellia Body OilOur latest find, Camellia Body Oil from Maryam’s Soap Nook is a blend of oil from Japanese grapefruit, used by the Japanese for centuries to moisturize dry & damaged skin, hair and nails.

Camellia Body Oil also includes Sweet Almond Oil and Vitamin E to soothe and protect, and has a wonderful citrus scent to liven us up on cold mornings when we’d rather snuggle under our electric blanket than get up and get ready for work.

Hopefully Mother Nature will soon relent and send warmer weather our way. In the meantime, we have our Camellia Body Oil.

Because Christmas shopping is exhausting

Something very exciting happened in our town this week.

A Bobbi Brown counter has graced our local Macy’s store with its presence and we are beyond thrilled. Last night as we attempted to finish our holiday shopping, we ended up spending most of the night at the new Bobbi Brown counter whispering sweet nothings to long-handled makeup brushes and gorgeous faux-leather makeup bags as our husband suffered patiently with a cup of Starbucks and a pained expression on his face.Bobbi Brown Extra Balm Rinse

We were able to muster a bit of self-control but not before securing some Extra Balm Rinse, a conditioning cleanser with a sweet citrus scent that leaves our parched winter skin conditioned and refreshed, and some Beach body oil.

Bobbi Brown Beach Body OilIf you have not yet smelled Bobbi Brown’s Beach fragrance, you MUST. We are especially fond of light, clean scents and Beach (with notes of jasmine and mandarin) is just that.

Because we’re sort of addicted to bath oils lately, we thought we’d add this delicious one to our collection.

(And in case you’re wondering, we actually did find some gifts for the people on our list. We’re not able to get too far off track with our husband in tow.)
