Makeup Bag Shapes Up: Week 2

Week 2, June 12th:

I’m totally regretting this little project—but it’s too late to turn back now.

If you must, here’s my scale:

This week I still didn’t make it to the gym. But I did make an effort to get up at 5:30 each morning for a two mile walk.

I should be happy that the scale is moving in the right direction, but I’m totally not. I’m still pissed about not being 139. I guess there are worse things I could be mad about, like the fact that my husband is still on a business trip or that my car is in the shop and I’m stranded at home tonight—but instead I choose to fume about this damn scale.

Does Baskin Robbins deliver?

Makeup Bag Shapes Up: Week One

Week One, June 5th:

Week one

This week I was on a business trip for half the week (hence the late posting) but I did manage to lose one pound. I celebrated with a slice of vanilla bean cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. Ha!

A busy work schedule has left me at my desk from sunup to sundown, so exercise hasn’t been in the mix this week. But I am determined to get my fat butt to the gym!

As a 37-year-old mother of four, I’m no spring chicken.

With each year that goes by, I seem to gain more and more while eating less and less. Go figure! While I wasn’t happy with the extra pounds, I didn’t completely freak out until a new bathroom scale revealed that I wasn’t really the 139 pounds I though I was.

145.8 pounds

(Thursday, May 29th)

Follow along as I humiliate myself each week with photos of my bathroom scale as I attempt to lose 20 pounds.
