Daily Style: Michael Kors “Bradshaw” Chronograph Bracelet Watch

I’m not a huge watch-wearer but this Michael Kors “Bradshaw” Chronograph Bracelet Watch caught my eye when it was recently featured in a Nordstrom ad.

The roman numerals and espresso/gold finish give this watch a fancy feel that adds a touch of sophistication to any outfit. Add the fact that it’s water-resistant up to 100 meters and you’ve got beauty AND function. Perfection!

Michael Kors “Bradshaw” Chronograph Bracelet Watch is available online at Nordstrom.com for $250.

Daily Style: Delfonics Mechanical Pencil

While perusing the Madewell website, I came across these bright mechanical pencils that have been a household name in Japan for over 20 years.

I love that they are wooden and come in a rainbow of colors (black, white, red, blue, yellow, orange and green)!

Delfonics Pencils are available online at Madewell.com for $10 each.

Daily Style: Chloe Platform Sandal

If you follow me on Twitter, you might already know that I really want these Chloe platform sandals.

As each day passes, my crush grows bigger and bigger. I mean, I live in HAWAII— I could totally wear these shoes every single day of every single season.

They would be perfect with sundresses, shorts, pants… even muu muu’s. (That is, if I actually wore muu muus, these sandals would be the perfect accessory. And you never know, I might get invited to a muu muu-only event next week and then I’d need to have something to go with the muu muu. Right?!)

I’m especially loving the 4″ heel with 1″ platform. This means I’m really only wearing 3″ heels—a totally acceptable heel height for a working girl with lots of running around to do.

Can you tell I’m trying to convince myself that the $695 price tag is justified?!

Chloe Platform Sandals are available online at Nordstrom.com for $695.

Daily Style: Planet Wise Wet/Dry Bag

Yesterday after I picked up Janey from her after-school program, we headed to the beach for an impromptu picnic dinner.

This all came about because the child insisted she couldn’t last ANOTHER SECOND WITHOUT EATING something. She was so very hungry that “I’m about to cry, mommy. That’s how hungry I am!” It was 5:00 p.m., after all, and she had likely only eaten Flaming Hot Cheetos all afternoon so, what the hell, let’s go have sushi!

“Ew. No.”

“Thai food?”

“Um. No, thanks.”

Apparently, Janey was SO VERY HUNGRY that only McDonald’s could relieve the aching pains in the pit of her stomach. Two plain hamburgers and a small french fries.

With our McDonald’s bag safely in hand, we headed to the beach so she could eat her fries without getting her greasy little fingers all over the leather seats in my car. (I have to draw the line somewhere!)

Halfway through her first burger, she decided she had enough food. She was so full, she couldn’t possibly take another bite. She ran off to play in the water’s edge making sure to yell back at me to not throw away her food. (You know, just in case.)

Thirty minutes later, she looked like this:

While I didn’t have a change of clothes or even a towel for her, I did have a Planet Wise Wet/Dry Bag in the trunk of my car.  I stripped her down naked, wrung out her clothes and tucked them safely away in the waterproof, anti-microbial, reusable bag. The inside of my car didn’t see a drop of salt water!

As we pulled into the garage at home and I watched her clothes-less little self struggling to get her giant, fourth-grade backpack out of the car, she told me how that was the best afternoon EVER. She ran into the house, dragging her backpack behind her yelling, “I love being naked in public!”

Planet Wise Wet/Dry Bags come in several sizes and prints and are great for storing wet/dirty items, swimwear, diapers, shoes, gym clothes, etc… They are made with quality, waterproof inner material and locking zippers to keep wetness inside.
