I have a lot of love for illuminators, but more often than not they turn out to be too pink, too orange or too bright to really get the job done.

I’m totally intrigued by this swirly, whirly beauty product that seems far more reminiscent of a science project than an eyeshadow. According to Too Faced, “futuristic metallic-opalescent pigments are baked into each black domed shadow for intensity and blend together to produce a unique multi-dimensional smoky eye.” Hm. While I’m not sure about the “multi-dimensional smoky eye,” the colors look gorgeous and the presentation certainly has piqued my curiosity – definitely on my list to look at in real life!

As much as we love palettes, over-sized collections like this Too Faced ‘The Jewelry Box–Pink Diamond Edition’ are a tad overwhelming.
