Stila Holiday Smudge Pot Collection

stila holiday smudge pots

I am obsessed with this adorable family of petite Smudge Pots!

The collection contains small sizes of Stila Smudge Pot bestsellers Black and Kitten and newcomers Violet (pretty purple with shimmer) and Starry Night (bold deep blue with shimmer). I am SO excited to try Starry Night, as I’ve never been able to resist a beautiful blue liner.

This set is a great way to dabble in some fun new liner shades without breaking the bank. Bonus: The smaller pots also mean it’s more likely you’ll use up all the liner before it dries out!

Stila Holiday Smudge Pot Collection is available from Stila for $32.

Stila Lip Enamel Luxe Gloss

stila-lip-gloss
I am always on the hunt for a gloss that gives my lips that perfectly shellacked shine I love so dearly, so I am holding out hope that this new Stila Lip Enamel Luxe Gloss is my dream gloss!

While I’m not so sure about Stila’s claim that its inclusion of Rhodiola Rosea will boost serotonin and dopamine levels in the brain, I will certainly be smiling if it delivers the full coverage and patent leather-like finish it promises!

Stila Lip Enamel Luxe Gloss is available in 6 shades from Sephora for $22 each.

Inspiring Color at Lela Rose

lelarose-collage

Stila pro artist Sarah Lucero for Beauty.com created a beach-inspired (surprise!) look with lots of subtle color for the Lela Rose Spring 2010 runway show. For the eyes, she added Stila Convertible Color in Camellia above the brow bone and under the lower lashes. Lime shadow (Fandago Eye Shadow Duo) was added to the lower lid up to the crease and Cobalt Smudge Pot was concentrated on the inner third of the eye. Eyes were finished with lots of black mascara and nude lips completed the look.

Celebrity makeup artist Ted Gibson created gorgeous messy ponytail for Lela Rose. Inspired by the beach, Ted explained that this girl has been at the beach all day with no time to wash her hair. To create lots of texture, Ted first sprayed hair with Ted Gibson Build It Spray and back-combed at the crown for added volume before pulling hair back into a messy ponytail. The side part and position of the ponytail (exactly at the middle of the back of the head) added detail that made this appear more “pulled together.”

Overall it was a sleek look but certainly not polished.
