No Chip Sherlock

Sally Hansen No Chip Top CoatWhile many of the young and fabulous are running around proudly flaunting their black polish all chipped and peeled and looking like it’s been three weeks since they’ve had a manicure, it’s just not a look that works for us.

We like our nails short, clean and perfectly polished.

A few years ago we started looking for a new favorite top coat when our old standby, Seche Vite, wasn’t cutting it anymore. Just weeks into a new bottle and it would get all thick and goopy and ruin an otherwise perfect paint job with bubbles and thick strings of topcoat.

Not to mention, it took forever to dry.

Somehow we stumbled upon Sally Hansen’s No Chip Acrylic Top Coat and we’ve never looked back since.

This product dries quickly, seals color and protects against chipping. Also? No goopy mess.

Don’t worry Angelina, we’re not quite there yet

After seeing this lip gloss in Mocha on the most adorable redheaded teenage girl, we just had to try it out for ourselves.

It wasn’t until after we applied it for the third time that we noticed it said LIP INFLATION. As in puffed-out, plumped-up, bee-stung, cho-cho lips.

Well, we are here to tell you that Lip Venom this is not. Unfortunately.

But that doesn’t mean it’s not pretty, or shiney, or glossy, or smooth. Or that the packaging has an uncanny resemblance to the pretty Estee Lauder lip glosses.

It just means that it is an awesome drugstore find, and you should go get yourself some!
