My friends and I are addicted to Gossip Girl.

Blake Lively is so adorable—and she’s on the cover of Lucky this month!

I love how her character has such effortless style. I imagine her beauty routine is equally easy, yet precise . (In other words, I doubt she goes to bed without washing her face!)

In the Lucky article, Blake talks about some of her favorite beauty products including Physicians Formula Bronzer and CHANEL Glossimer in Summer Plum .

Lucky for me, my mother is obsessed with Chanel lip gloss so I have access to several otherwise-unaffordable shades, but the Physicians Formula Bronzer is available at the drug store and won’t deplete my savings when I drop my bag and shatter the contents, as I’ve been known to do. I know I’ve talked about this before here at Teen Corner, but everyone I know uses this bronzer and loves it.

It’s nice to know ultra-cool Blake Lively shares in my obsessions.

My first "Face of the Week":

I chose this look because it’s the first time I’m wearing BROWN instead of black eyeliner! That’s huge for me.

Here’s what I used:

• Shiseido The Makeup Accentuating Cream Eyeliner in Brown I have to admit I was kind of afraid of gel/cream eyeliners, but this is so easy to use and it lasts all day long without budging.
• Bobbi Brown Burnt Sugar Palette I love that these neutral colors can look really natural or extra glam, depending on the intensity.
• Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Pressed Powder/Bronzer This is great to quickly even out skin tone. I use it when I want to skip the whole foundation-powder-bronzer step. This works for me because my skin is on the darker side.
• MAC Lipglass in Lightning A sparkly shade of silver-white (from the Blue Storm collection) that looks great if I don’t wear it too thick.

First I applied the powder/bronzer all over my face. For my eyes, I lined both upper and lower lids with the Shiseido cream eyeliner. I used a flat eyeliner brush which makes it super easy to apply. Then I used the lightest color in the Bobbi Brown palette (Gold Dust ) over my entire eyelid, the medium color (Toffee ) in the crease, and the darkest color (Burnt Sugar ) over the cream eyeliner. This helps to set the eyeliner and gives me a smokier look. Next, I curled my lashes and applied tons of black waterproof mascara, added some lip gloss, re-powdered my face with the bronzer—and there it is. All done!
