Mark celebrity makeup artist Mai Quynh created the red carpet look for Miley Cyrus at this month’s Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas.

Here’s how she created this look:

Eyes

“Miley’s Monique Lhullier dress was hunter green and with her hair pinned up you could see the jeweled detail of the dress on the shoulder, so we decided do a sheer wash of hunter green on her eyes. I started by applying mark Winkstick Hook Up Eye Shadow Stick in Envious from the lash line to the crease using a flat eyeliner brush to help blend and distribute evenly. Then I added mark I-mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Retro Peacock from the lash line to the crease using an eye shadow brush. I then took an angled contour eye shadow brush to blend everything on the lid, leaving the lash line with the majority of the color. I finished by applying two coats of mark Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven.”

“The inspiration for Miley’s look was rocker chic. We wanted to have her makeup soft to play against her edgy dress. On her inner eyelids, I applied mark I-Sheer Hook Up Creamy Eye Shadow in Glacee. I then smudged a thin line of mark On the Edge Hook Up Liquid Eyeliner in Cleo with mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Corset along the lashline. To finish, I coated her eyelashes with two coats of mark Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven.”

“The inspiration for Miley’s look was young and flirty bohemian. I wanted to keep her makeup soft and golden with a touch of bronze to compliment her white and bronze floral beaded dress. On her inner eyelids, I swept mark Shimmer Cubes in Moonlight and Twilight and mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Tiki in the creases. I lined the bottom of her eyes with mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Tiki and then coated her eyelashes with mark Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven.”
