Laura Mercier Spring 2009: Gilded Garden

gilded-garden-model-shot

Laura Mercier‘s second creation to appear this spring is Gilded Garden, a collection of bold floral colors with gold accents to brighten every face this spring.

The star of the collection is the Gilded Garden Mosaic Shimmer Bloc, a blush/highlighter stamped with a gorgeous floral motif to softly illuminate cheeks.

Backstage Beauty: Pamella Roland

Backstage at Pamella Roland Spring 2009 during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, the look was all about the cheeks.

A gorgeous, flushed face that looked fresh and clear was the goal of makeup artist Louis Soto for Laura Mercier. To create the look, he used the new Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer (love, love, LOVE ) just in the center of the face for a highlighted effect.

The flushed cheeks were created with Laura Mercier Cheek Colour in Blushing Apple which was applied to the apple of the cheek (go figure!) and then blended slightly down and in (toward the chin).

The overall look, including an elegant, old-hollywood-glamour-at-the-beach pony, created by Paul Labreque, was gorgeous. And flushed. And fresh.

Did we say that already?
