In the Pink: DuWop Lip Lingo

DuWop introduces a limited-edition Liplingo Pink lip palette to raise awareness about breast cancer.

Liplingo Pink is a sleek lip palette containing a rose lipstick and four wonderful ways to top it: a subtle gold frost, a pale pink shimmer gloss, a rich pink sherbet tone with sparkle and a pink tinged clear balm with a high shine. Both the lipstick and the glosses pack an extra punch with a potent blend of antioxidants including pomegranate and berry extracts.

Liplingo Pink is housed in a sleeve bearing the names of many women who have been affected by breast cancer and can be purchased online at DuWop.com.

Teen Corner: Um. Yeah.

Teen Corner

HI!!!!

I’m not sure if anyone remembers me, but I’m Bree—-and this is supposed to be my Teen Corner. Hahaha!

I won’t bore you with the stupid little details of my boring (but busy!) life because the last thing you want to hear about is school, volleyball, babysitting, volleyball and more volleyball.

Also? Gossip Girl is back. Let there be peace on earth. (Gossip Girl is very time consuming, people. If you don’t hit rewind on your TiVo time and time again to analize Chuck’s facial expressions, you don’t know what you’re missing!)

On to the beauty.

This month I found two products that I can’t live without. The first seems kind of crazy, because I’ve seen it around the house for years, but I’ve never actually tried it: Aquaphor Healing Ointment .

Aquaphor

Aquaphor is not very glamorous but for chapstick/lip balm addicts, it’s the best. The consistency is smooth like Vaseline, but stays on forever. It is especially amazing if you’re outside on a windy day or in a gym playing a sweaty game of volleyball.

The second is DuWop DoubleGlow7 , a product I never would have tried had my mom not insisted. I never imagined something so subtle could make such a difference, but a little of this on my cheekbones or eyelids and my face looks all glow-y and pretty. Why would I ever go without it again?

DuWop DoubleGlow7

Before I head off to cram for a test, I want to wish my littlest sister, Janey, a happy happy happy birthday. She turned SIX yesterday:

Janeys birthday

(Here’s the birthday girl with two of her friends from kindergarten. If you can’t figure out which one is Janey, let me give you two hints: LIP. GLOSS.)

DuWop Browwow

DuWop Browwow

For years and years we’ve used the same brow kit (Benefit Brow Zings) and have had no reason to stray. In addition to just working, Brow Zings lasts forever making it unnecessary to purchase anything new.

During New York Fashion Week last month, we got our hands on a sample of DuWop Browwow in Darker and our beloved Brow Zings has been left in the dust.

DuWop Browwow has a softer wax that blends naturally and a shimmer cream highlighter to enhance browbones. While the teeny little brush is not practical for everyday use (we use our Benefit Hard Angle Brush for that) it does come in handy for travel.

We can’t imagine ever going back.

Browwow also comes in Lighter and is available at sephora.com.

Because we REALLY need another shimmer powder

Why is it that we are drawn to certain things, and no matter how many we already have (18 shades of shimmery deep dark green eyeshadow, 10 tubes of exfoliators, and TWENTY SEVEN SHIMMER POWDERS) there’s always room for one more?

Come on, you know as well as we do that each of these are remarkably different (even if that remarkable difference is very subtle.) And so it just makes sense to have them all. Right?

Right?!DuWop Ice

Yesterday we saw DuWop Ice for the first time and although it looks rather Blah! in this photo here, it is totally NOT Blah!

At all.

Frankly, we haven’t been this excited about a shimmer powder since… um… last week?

But still, we love this. It has a light iridescent pearl sheen that looks just lovely. And can we mention the price? At $18 this shimmer powder is considerably less than some of the others we’ve purchased recently.

Also, it has a clever little magnetic closing compact that’s sleek and not at all bulky. Perfect to throw in our bag for quick illuminating touchups. Because we’re glow-y like that.

DuWop ICE, $18
