Backstage at Erin Fetherston, we found ourself face to face with Bobbi Brown .

The legendary beauty expert was relaxed and smiling, and eager to spend the evening with Barack Obama in New Jersey after the runway show (Bobbi served in the New Jersey delegation to the Democratic National Convention).

She did, however, have time to explain to us how she created the “sophisticated angel” look for the Erin Fetherston show. With Illuminating Bronzer and Gold Sparkle Pot Rouge (a new shade we’ll see next spring), she created dewy, natural-looking skin.

On the eyes, Bobbi used gold metallic eyeshadows from an upcoming spring collection to create “shimmer and glitter that’s wearable”—and topped off the look with Nugget Lip Gloss.

The hair, created by Lyndell Mansfield, Chief of Hair for CLM London , was pulled tightly into a low-ish pony with wefts glued in to give a full, even look.

Nails for this show were painted in two coats of Dashing Diva’s Dizzy Pink Lizzy , a clear, sheer pink.
