While Bobbi Brown has all but eliminated the need for palettes with her refillable palette system, I still get a bit giddy when a new one is released.

This particular offering is absolutely stunning, no? The colors are gorgeous, but here’s the best part: Pot Rouge is included in this palette for the first time ever, which is truly thrilling for devotees like me who have been DYING to add the product to our personal palettes.

It also also houses a Shimmer Lip Gloss, two shades of eye shadow and three mini brushes all wrapped up in a chrome faux-leather organizer.

Complementing the colors and textures of Rachel Roy’s Spring 2010 runway collection, celebrity makeup artist Bobbi Brown created a beautiful and precise eye channeling the 70’s but modernized for today’s woman.

To create this look, Bobbi started with perfect skin then created a natural, strong eye with a warm flesh tone on lower lid and Bobbi Brown Jet Creamy Eye Pencil smudged in the inner and outer corners of eyes. She finished eyes with clear brow gel and one coat of the new Bobbi Brown Extreme Party Mascara (due to hit counters next month).

Cheeks were powdered with Bobbi Brown Dusty Flush Blush and lips were stained with Guava Lip Color.

Andre Rodman, lead stylist for Frederic Fekkai, created two looks for the Rachel Roy show—one feminine, one masculine, and both big on glamour. For the feminine look, a center part with waves starting beneath the chin, Rodman used Fekkai COIFF Strong Hold Volume Mousse, then sprayed hair with Fekkai COIFF Defense Pre Style Thermal UV Protectant and curled it around a 1 inch iron.

The masculine look was short with a severe side part tucked behind the ears. He used Fekkai Au Naturel Sheer Styling Gel and combed hair straight while he dried it.

“Nude makeup doesn’t mean monochromatic, barely-there makeup. It means makeup that’s right for your skin,” says Bobbi Brown.

“I’m in love! Honestly, few things have made me as instantly happy as the mere sight of this palette – I practically want to sleep with it under my pillow! The shades aren’t the typical beiges, taupes and and creams you’d expect to find in a “nude” palette, but a gorgeous selection of neutral shades ranging from light to dark. The shimmer, matte and metallic shades never skew too cool or too warm, so they work together beautifully to create a plethora of neutral eye looks. The texture and color payoff are superb, and the compact is refillable when you (gasp!) hit the pan.”

In this collection comes the new and improved Creamy Eye Pencil: designed to apply smoothly and evenly, the pencil features a built-in smudger for a softer, smoky effect. Available in 9 shades including: Jet, Walnut, Caviar, Midnight, Hunter, Brown Plum, Dusk, Charcoal and Mahogany.

Also in this collection we’ll see the Bobbi Brown Lip Crayons back by popular demand. These will now be a permanent part of the line! Including a custom-sized sharpener, the Lip Crayon will be available in six shades: Honeysuckle, Coral Pink, Raisin Berry, Posey, Dusty Nude, Wild Rose.

My favorite part of this collection is the new Forest Shimmer Ink Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner and the Bash Metallic Eye Shadow. The shimmery, earthy shades are a perfect transition to fall makeup.
