Ongoing Obsession: Clarisonic Mia

I bought my first Clarisonic about 3 years ago after a visit to the Kate Somerville Clinic in Los Angeles where the esthetician schooled me on the importance of deep (yet gentle) cleansing.

Nothing cleans my skin better and allows skincare products to penetrate better than the Clarisonic. Clarisonic Sonic Skin Cleansing Systems use a patented sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second to gently, yet thoroughly remove 6X more makeup and 2X more dirt and oil than cleansing with your hands alone.

Three years and several Clarisonics later (my cousin Cindi gifted me with a blue Clarisonic Mia from Japan and I recently scored a garnet Mia as well!) I am just as obsessed as I was back then. Now, the Clarisonic Mia comes in SIX different must-have colors for every bathroom countertop (white, yellow, blue, pink, lavender and garnet) for great skin at home or on the go.

Also, for a limited time Clarisonic is offering a Limited-edition “Hope”  Mia developed in support of Look Good… Feel Better, an organization dedicated to improving the self-esteem and quality of life of women undergoing treatment for cancer. Clarisonic will make a donation to Look Good… Feel Better for every “Hope” Mia sold.

The Clarisonic Mia is available online at Clarisonic.com for $149.00.

  • Any suggestions on what cleansers to use with the Clarisonic? How long did it take you to get the results you were looking for?

  • I love this product as well…I didn’t know it was available in Japan (I live here) until I read this blog post. Thank you!! I always ship brushes from the US so if I have a Clarisonic emergency, I know where to go now! Thanks!

  • Celazome,

I use the Kate Somerville daily facial wash and it is in my opinion a great combination. For the last few years I have really babied my skin and so thankfully it is not a problem skin anymore but what I have noticed so far is that the flakeyness I get on my forehead and chin (harsh NJ winters) have no longer been a problem. I have been using my Mia now for a letter under 2 months. I LOVE IT! My skin is also slightly more even toned.

    Hope this helps

  • Keep hearing good reviews about this product but I tend to use traditional facial massage when cleansing etc and though it may take longer, the results are good.

  • I will be ordering a Clarisonic Mia in lavender for my 12 year old daughter. She really does have a serious acne problem, and when she discovered this product she was so excited! She offered to pay me back the money later (she only has $20) but I decided just to buy one for her and told her that this was on me. I told her if she wanted another one after that (I hear they last about 3-4 months) she would have to ask for it for her birthday or Christmas or something, or save her money. She was very thankful…LOL. I just didn’t think that she should have to work so hard for money to fix a problem that wasn’t even her fault. It’s a good thing that there is usually a holiday every 3-4 months! :D
