What’s in my shower: August 2010
It’s been a while since I shared the contents of my shower with you! I’ve been based in Kauai, Hawaii all summer where I’ve had a pretty laid-back approach to my daily routine.
I’ve probably only blow-dried my hair a handful of times in the last several months but the high humidity and hot summer days equal significant time in the shower (at least two per day!)
Check out the shower products I’ve been using to beat the heat this month:
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel
It’s actually been over two months that I’ve been using and LOVING this gel cleanser from La Roche-Posay. I wouldn’t say that I have oily skin (the skin type this cleanser is recommended for) however I am prone to breakouts and this cleanser has been perfect for my skin. Just a tiny amount lathers up nicely and leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean without leaving it dry. Also? No breakouts!
Peter Lamas Volumizing Rice Protein Shampoo & Conditioner
My favorite part of this Peter Lamas shampoo and conditioner is that it smells like Sweet Tarts. Also, the fact that it’s free of harsh chemicals and contains certified organic ingredients makes me feel so much better about washing my hair (twice!) every day. I like the Rice Protein version that leaves limp hair like mine feeling stronger and full of volume.
Dial NutriSkin Grape Seed Oil & Lemongrass
Multiple showers a day (plus an 8 yr old that likes to mix body wash into “potions”) means we pretty much go through body wash like it’s going out of style. I love that this Dial NutriSkin Grape Seed Oil & Lemongrass body wash smells amazing and leaves my skin fresh and moisturized without breaking the bank.
Schick Quattro for Women Trim Style Razor & Bikini Trimmer
This Schick Quattro TrimStyle is a great two-in-one razor. It has a shaving cartridge with four ultra-thin blades on one end and a waterproof, battery powered bikini trimmer on the other. The trimmer has an adjustable comb with three length settings. Every girl needs this razor in her shower!

woops, my favorite shower product is my clarisonic because sometimes i dont have time to wash my face in front of the mirror, so i just do it in the shower real quick!

My favorite product of the moment is the Kiehl’s Sunflower Shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair–it’s sulfate free and smells amazing!

I love the Suave hair products and Neutrogena bath gels, but the Korres Showergels are also a special luxury!

My favorite show product is…my shower puff! I never used to use one but now I do and I love how smooth my skin feels. Also, LUSH shower bombs (like bath bombs, but for showers) make my dorm room showers much less stinky!

One of my new favorite shower items (they change often) is Method Flower Water body wash. It smells really good, has good ingredients like aloe vera, and is paraben free and biodegradable (sp?) Plus it looks pretty in the shower

I have to say my favorite shower product is Frederic Fekkai Brilliant Glossing shampoo and conditioner set!
I love the scent and it leaves my hair like silk without weighing it down or stripping my color~!

My favorite shower item is Bath and Body Works new Triple Moisture Shower Cream (in Sea Isle Cotton.) It is so so so moisturizing that I don’t have to use lotion if I don’t want to – which is great because I find it uncomfortable to put lotion on after the shower and then pants on for work. My husband loves how smooth my skin is after showering! Thanks!

Mine has been Sexy Hair Concepts Pumpkin line. I have the shampoo, conditioner (in gallon sizes, seriously!) and body wash in the shower. It smells just like pumpkin pie and even though it’s more of a fall scent I can’t help but use it every day, year round.

My favorite shower product currently is the Dial Nutriskin bodywash in Cherry Seed Oil and Mint. It smells so fresh and juicy and perfect for summer. Plus, it’s so cheap that I don’t feel bad about using a ton of it!

This may or may not be considered a shower product but I cannot live without my pumi bar.i switch up my body washes and shampoo/conditioner depending on weather/season/etc, but i always have my pumi bar to make my feet smooth as a newborns bottom. smooth feet, smooth legs, smooth sailing.

My favourite shower product would have to be my exfoliating body glove! I use it daily to keep my skin soft, smooth and of course, exfoliated! I love it! It’s definitely the best and cheapest thing in my shower! haha

my favorite shower product that I couldn’t leave without is my Suave shampoos and conditioners. I shed so much hair all the time and this is the only one that doesn’t make my hair fall out as much.

My favorite shower product is Fresh Soy Face Cleanser! I think you got me started on it last year and it took me awhile, but eventually I realized that my skin looks best when I’m using this cleanser regularly. Plus, even though it’s a bit pricey, only a tiny drop is needed to do the job so one tube lasts for ages!

my FAVORITE shower product (especially during the summer) is The Body Shop’s Pink Grapefruit shower gel! It leaves my body squeaky clean and smells so fresh and wonderful! It definitely wakens my senses, especially in the mornings when I’ve had long summer nights. I also love their body scrub!

i couldn’t do without my Garden of Wisdom Rosacea Creamy Cleanser. stops my face from looking like a tomato and leaves my skin toned and lovely!

my favorite shower product is definitely my neutrogena anti-residue shampoo! it never fails to clarify and clean my hair the way a regular shampoo can’t.

My favorite products are the body shop’s satsuma body wash and devacare’s no-poo. I’m trying to not use shampoos in my hair anymore, but I think really the concern is about sulfates more than shampoo so no-poo fits the bill for me.

My favorite shower product is Schick’s Inituition razor. So convenient, especially for my underarms. I have that body wash you mention, too, and really like it.

One of the best products that I have ever used in my showering experience is Dove Beauty Bar Soap. Shampoos and conditioners may come and go, but Dove is always a must in my dorm room! Not only does it have an incredible, soft and delicate smell to it, but it leaves my skin feeling so fresh and smooth! It’s definitely a keeper- and it’s inexpensive as well!!
