The Summer 2010 Collection is a range of bold and bright hues and creamy textures. François Nars looked for inspiration from the character Sèverine, played by Catherine Deneuve in the iconic film Belle de Jour.

Enchanted ($26)

I’m always a little wary of products that claim to offer results of professional microdermabrasion treatments, but I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by Dr. Christine Rodgers En Pointe Skin Solutions Pirouette Bamboo Microderm.

While I wouldn’t compare the results to those of a professional appointment, I’d venture to say my face (and spirit!) felt as though it had been treated to a mini-facial, which is no small feat for just one skincare product.

The thing I love most about this product is the texture: its light, almost whipped consistency is easy to apply and leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean and moisturized without leaving a layer of oily residue in its wake. The bamboo and sugar granules feel just right: they polish my skin to perfection without ever scratching or irritating. The product’s scent is pleasant and is slightly reminiscent of the scent of spa treatment rooms, definitely a plus in my book!
