This pair of Diane von Furstenberg Karta Flat Sandals exudes city chic sans a towering heel.

These would be a great choice for cavorting around one of my favorite pedestrian-friendly cities, where style counts as much as comfort.

Diane von Furstenberg Karta Flat Sandals are available from Shopbop for $260.

Chloé Eau de Parfum

chloe eau de parfum
In many ways, Chloé designs are the epitome of femininity, so it’s only fitting that the fragrance follows suit.

The fragrance has “top notes of pink peony, freesia, and lychee embody subtle freshness. At the heart, midnotes of magnolia flower, lily of the valley, and rose rise to sublimated femininity. A base of velvety elegance comes to fruition through cedarwood, amber, and honey.”

Sounds divine, no?

A 1.7 oz. Chloé Eau de Parfum spray is available for $85 from Sephora.

Oscars Beauty: Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez looked radiant at the Academy Awards on Sunday night in Los Angeles wearing a beaded Armani Prive gown.

Her makeup look was created by Matthew Vanleeuwen for NARS Cosmetics with the Orgasm Illuminator, Cruising Lipstick, D. Gorgeous Single Eyeshadow, Sweet Dreams Lip Gloss and new-for-Summer 2010 products Enchanted Cream Blush and Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base.

Master stylist Robert Vetica created the modern and sophisticated style by applying Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream on wet hair to create smoothness and shine. After blowdrying hair straight he sectioned hair off and created two ponytails, an inch
apart, one on top of the other to create volume below the crown of the head.

Next, Vetica used a curling iron on each ponytail to create texture, and then brushed them out for width and volume. After creating the shape of the updo, he strategically pulled out stands throughout the look to create a modern textured effect using flyaways around the forehead to further soften.

He then finished with new argan oil-infused Moroccanoil Luminous Hair Spray.
