Guess what? I’m wearing fake hair in today’s holiday look!
I had to pull my bangs back to cover up the seam so it looked right. I’m sure there’s a better way to handle this but I’m a total newbie when it comes to wearing hair pieces.
First I curled my hair with my Conair hot rollers and then clipped in the 19″ layered hair extension by Hair Do (Jessica Simpson & Ken Paves’ company) for extra body and fullness.

Today was my favorite holiday look so far because, OMG you guys, I found the MOST AMAZING TAUPE EYESHADOW.
Imagine MAC Mothbrown and Satin Taupe eye shadows falling in love and having a baby. This prodigy child would be named Midnight Madness. And if you love taupe eyeshadow like I love taupe eyeshadow, you will hunt down this MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow Duo and buy every single pot you can get your hands on.
Let me show you what I’m talking about:

To bring out the purple in Midnight Madness, I paired it with the gorgeous YSL Collector Duo Eye Palette which contains a deep purple and silvery lavender eye shadows. (I guess I should note that Midnight Madness is part of an eyeshadow duo—so there is another shade in the pot: gold)
Finishing off my eyes, I rimmed my upper and lower lashes with Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil and added my favorite MAC 41 Lash false eye lashes.
On my lips I used the nude gloss in the YSL Collector Duo Lip Palette, a sparking pale nude shade that works great alone or over lipstick.
Bree’s Look, Day 3:

For those of you that left comments and sent emails saying how much you liked Bree’s red lip look—thank you! She didn’t believe me when I told her she looked great with color on her lips, but she believed you. Because of your kind words, Bree was inspired to rock another dark-lipped look today.
American Beauty Ultimate Diamond Luminous Mineral Makeup SPF 15
Bree loves this foundation. The formula is light and moisturizing and medium-deep matches her skin tone perfectly.
Benefit BADgal Liner Waterproof
Have I mentioned that my daughters are obsessed with black eyeliner? Of all the black eyeliners she has access to, this BADgal waterproof liner is the one that Bree reaches for time and again.
Estée Lauder Signature Hydra Lustre Lipstick in Blackberry
I’m happy Bree chose this deep berry lipstick for her look because I think it suits her perfectly. The cool toned hue gives her face just the right amount of color. I like it better than the red from day one!
Bailey’s Look, Day 3:

Bailey swept her hair into a side ponytail this morning before she left for school. I think she was trying a different hairstyle but couldn’t pull it off in time so she opted for the ponytail instead.
St. Tropez Bronzing Powder
Now here’s some news that might be new to you. St. Tropez (yes, the self-tanners) has a new line of bronzing makeup and it’s FAB. The girls and I are fighting over this bronzing powder each morning. The powder is soft and fine and has just a hint of shimmer—enough to make your skin look healthy and fresh without being glow in the dark.
bareMinerals Liner Shadow in Cozy Brown
To achieve the brown situation around her eyes, Bailey used this bareMinerals liner shadow as eyeliner and then softened with MAC Magnetic Fields eye shadow and MAC Your Ladyship pigment.
Jouer Lip Gloss in Beach
The only thing missing from the Jouer lipgloss formula is scent. I like to have a yummy-smelling lipgloss on my mouth, and if it tastes good that’s even better!
I do love the color of this nude gloss. It’s a neutral shade that I suspect looks good on every skin tone.
