Gwen Stefani at the Fashion Group International’s 26th Annual Night of Stars

gwen stefani

Gwen Stefani is looking smoking hot these days but I barely recognized her on the red carpet at the Fashion Group International’s 26th Annual Night of Stars at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City tonight.

Without her signature red lips and sleek updo, this mom of two looks like a totally different woman! (If it weren’t for the platinum hair and red nails, I might have missed her completely.)

Gwen’s flowy hair and nude, glossy lips are a nice contrast to her little black dress, black tights and black heels—but I’m not sure I like this look better than the Gwen Stefani-red lips I know and love.

What do you think of Gwen Stefani’s pale-lipped look?

Get the Look: Becki Newton at the Elle Women in Hollywood Tribute

becki newton mark makeup

Ugly Betty star Becki Newton drew inspiration from Grace Kelly for her red carpet look at the Elle 16th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute last weekend in Beverly Hills, California.

Celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg explained how to get Becki’s look:

Eyes

“Becki loves to try new things and for this look she was really feeling Grace Kelly with some street appeal!  First, I applied mark Get Bright Hook Up Highlighter in Golden under Becki’s eyes and the lightest shade from mark Super Flip Color Kit in the corner and along the top of the lid to really make her eyes look bright.  I then blended I-mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Cake into the crease and the dark grey shade from mark Super Flip Color Kit in the corner of the eyes. To enhance her eye color, I applied mark Eyemarker Color On Line in Jet, smudging all along the lower lash line.  Finally I applied one coat of mark Make it Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven and topped it with one coat of mark Lash Splash Hook Up Waterproof Mascara in Black to set the lashes and prevent any flaking.”

Face

“I applied mark Face Xpert Flawless Touch Makeup in Honey and set just the T-zone area with mark Matte-nificent Oil-Absorbing Powder in Golden Honey to prevent any unnecessary shine.  I also applied mark Good Glowing Mosaic Blush Custom Color Palette in Hush Baby right above Becki’s cheeks to give a fresh highlight.  I finished her cheeks by smudging mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Nude and Cheeky right on the apples of her cheeks, carefully blending up to her hair line.”

Lips

“To finish off her look, I used mark Dew Drenched Moisturlicious Lip Color in Mist on her lips, with a light coating of mark Pro Gloss Hook Up Plumping Lip Shine in Swell.
