Peter Philips, global creative director of CHANEL, creates a tribute to black with an avante-garde collection of trend defining eye, lip and nail shades

Now, with the introduction of CHANEL Collection Noirs Obscurs, two favorite Chanel mascaras are available in a new, deeply dramatic black shade— Noir Obscur. Taken to the extreme, the color black has never looked more luxurious or mysterious on lashes…with intensely dark, dramatic effects.

And now, my favorite part of the collection: DIABOLIC Le Vernis Nail Colour. I’m betting I’ll be wearing this shade long into winter (or until my bottle runs out!). It’s hard to see in this photo, but Diabolic is a red-black creme.

For comparison, here is Diabolic sitting next to her sister Rouge Noir (this photo was taken in the morning sun, in person both of these shades appear darker). Can you see the resemblance?
