What I’m Obsessing Over: MAKEUP

makeup obsessions

I’ve been on a “glowy Khloe” kick lately, sans the smoky eyes.

In other words, I’m on the quest for perfectly glowing, gorgeous skin—with little effort. Thankfully I’ve found some great beauty products to help me achieve this look. I already told you about my favorite summer foundation, Chanel Hydramax Tinted Moisturizer, which I’m still using faithfully every day for its sheer coverage and easiness (I can apply this in seven seconds with my eyes closed!).

Now I’m going to fill you in on the other makeup staples I’ve been obsessing over lately:

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Nude I think I’ve had, at one point or another, every Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick ever made. Sadly for me, I have teenage daughters that like to help themselves to my makeup collection and then carelessly leave it all over town. I’m sure there are several teenage girls in Carson City, Nevada enjoying my collection of Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks!

This is why my newest Nude Shimmer Brick, from the Bobbi Brown Fall Nudes Collection, is currently under lock and key. I use this as eye shadow, blush, highlighter, bronzer— you name it, this Nude Shimmer Brick does it. Love.

MAC Mineralize Blush in Hand-Finish This blush gives me a sheer peachy-pink wash with lots of shimmer. I feel like an angel with this on my cheeks!

Benefit BADgal Waterproof Liner Since I started using Latisse and then later found the ultimate mascara (more on that below) my eyelashes have never looked better. To make my new-found lashes appear even more dark and lush, I’ve been using this waterproof liner by Benefit to tightly line my upper lashes from under the lash line.

Stila Kitten Eye Shadow I’ve had this eye shadow in my makeup bag for years and years, but recently fell in love with it again. The powder is so creamy that I apply it with my finger. A little Kitten goes a long way so I use this sparingly, otherwise I might look like a disco ball with all this shimmer!

Lancome Hypnose DRAMA Mascara You’re probably sick of hearing me go on and on about this mascara but it’s just so good. I can’t imagine I’ll ever need another mascara again. If you have Asian lashes like me, first curl your lashes then scrape the brush off on the side of the tube and apply a light coat to hold your lashes in their curl. You can then go back and add a second coat to thicken and lengthen lashes.

Benefit One Hot Minute This really does make my skin look amazing in one hot minute. It’s kind of a bronzer, but not really. I lightly brush this all over my face after my Chanel Tinted Moisturizer for an all-over glow.

La Mer The Radiant Concealer This concealer is brand new to the market and I’m really impressed with it. The formula is creamy and more on the dry side which is perfect for hiding dark circles and blemishes.

  • These are my favorite posts of yours! I love hearing what you’re loving lately. I second the fabulous-ness of One Hot MInute – I usually do it as a highlighter on the cheekbones – but want to try it right after my TM now! As light-skinned as I am, this never looks bronzey. I bet it will be great…

  • Thanks Laurie! I agree that the One Hot Minute never looks bronzey. It’s just makes my skin look healthy and perfect. This might explain why I had to dig it out of Bailey’s makeup bag this morning— we’re ALL obsessed!

  • Mynew obsession is my Bobbie Brown Nude brick. Thank goodness they last forever (as long as our girls don’t steal them,) because I sure will be depressed when I use this one up! I snagged the eye shadow palette, also. Bobbie is a genius.
