Daily Style: Sergio Rossi ‘Tracy’ Bootie

sergio rossi bootie

While these Sergio Rossi ‘Tracy’ Booties are completely out of my price range, I can’t help but daydream about their sleek, classy style.

The gently dipped side offers subtle, asymmetrical detail to a smooth bootie fashioned from burnished leather and supported by a lofty wrapped heel. I think the other shoes in my closet would appreciate some new friends like these.

Sergio Rossi ‘Tracy’ Booties are available online at nordstrom.com for $770.

Summer Makeup Bag Contest: Deirdre’s Makeup Bag

summer makeup bag contest deirdre

Up next in our Summer Makeup Bag Contest series is Dierdre, mother of Bridget (yesterday’s submission). Bridget sent in pics from her mom’s makeup bag and gave us this scoop (I immediately spied the LashBlast which is now available in a new LENGTHENING formula!):

My mom uses a Vera Bradley small cosmetic bag. Inside is:

Neutrogena Glow Sheers in Ivory to Fair, Cover Girl True Blend Minerals powder in Translucent Fair, and a Mary Kay brush.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Lasting lipstick in Pink Parfait, L’Oreal Crème Riche lipstick in British Red Coat, Mary Kay lipstick in Sunburst, and Mary Kay Nourishine lipgloss in Coral Rose.

Almay Intense i-Color eyeshadow in Trio for Blues and Almay Intense i-Color eyeliner in Brown Topaz (I borrow this eyeliner a lot!), and Cover Girl LashBlast mascara in Brown. She frequently borrows my Urban Decay Primer Potion – I’ll have to buy her one of her own!

Yes, Bridget. She definitely needs her own Urban Decay Primer Potion!

Summer Makeup Bag Contest: Bridget’s Makeup Bag

summer makeup bag contest bridget

Next up in our Summer Makeup Bag Contest is Bridget who has a lot of my favorite essentials in her makeup bag. I also depotted my Urban Decay Potion Primer and keep it in a little pot. I actually like applying with my fingertip better than the wand so this works great for me (and obviously Bridget, too!).

My makeup bag is a super old LeSportSac, and I love it because it seems small but holds a lot. Its contents include:

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock in SPF 30, which I use as a primer, Cover Girl CG Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer in Fair to Light and MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW20, a product I love because it doesn’t budge when the summer humidity melts the rest of my face. I use MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Nautral in Light over all of this – it keeps my face matte, but with a nice glow.

I use NARS’ duo in Orgasm & Laguna or MAC Well Dressed blush gives some color to my super fair skin.

Eyeshadows that I always have on hand are MAC’s Vanilla and All That Glitters (for daytime), as well as Espresso and Satin Taupe for a nighttime smoky eye. I can put one of these shadows on at 7 am and won’t have creased or faded at all by midnight when I’m going to bed. Amazing! I also love Maybelline eyeshadow in Silken Taupe, which lasts just as long as my MAC eyeshadows.

The round pink container holds Urban Decay’s Primer Potion – when I thought I needed to buy a new tube, I cut open the one I had and found enough product to nearly fill this container (a little bigger than a MAC paint pot). I have oily eyelids so this product is an absolute must for me, but I occasionally switch things up with MAC’s Paint Pot in Rubenesque.

For eyeliner, I use either L’Oreal HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Brown, Clinique Quickliner for Eyes in Roast Coffee or Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Bourbon.

My favorite mascara ever is Cover Girl Lash Exact mascara in brown – it’s the only mascara I’ve ever used that truly doesn’t clump! And I love the brush. I use a Shu Uemura eyelash curler to curl my lashes.

For lips, I alternate between Revlon Super Lustrous lipgloss in Pink Pursuit (this makes my teeth look whiter somehow), Clinique Long Last Glosswear in Stellar Plum, Neutrogena Moisture Shine lipgloss in Groove and Chapstick Enchanted Cherry lipbalm – I’m never without cherry chapstick and this Disney princess version feels extra moisturizing.

Cherry Chapstick is a staple around here as well. We’ll need to get the Disney Princess version to spice up our collection (Bailey refuses to let me buy any other flavor— must be CHERRY!)

Thanks for playing, Bridget!
