The Body Shop Coconut Shimmer Body Lotion
Upon hearing the news that The Body Shop has made the switch to organic virgin coconut oil in all of its coconut products, I was a bit apprehensive. Would this upgrade affect the perfect balance of the range’s slightly sweet, rich nutty scent?
I’m relieved to share that the new formula smells every bit as good as the original! In fact, I couldn’t detect any difference whatsoever in my old favorites (Body Butter and Shower Gel) and am now in love with the all-new Coconut Shimmer Body Lotion!
The formula offers lightweight moisture and it imparts skin with pearlescent shimmer perfect for playing up a summer tan and scenting your skin with all of its coconutty goodness.

I really like using this the Lavener Calm Body Lotion from the Made from Earth skin care line. It is a great moisturizer. Love the way it makes my legs and hands feel.
It has lavender scent (from ACTUAL lavender) that fades, so that it is not overpowering.
Please note* I have read a lot of information that says boys should not use lavender or Tea Tree oil products, as it can cause them to develop female characteristics, such as breasts. But I like this lotion very much. I do not know why more products are’nt made with organic ingredients, as they are as-good or superior to the chemical-laden ones.
It also helped my decision that they have certified organic ingredients, vegan ingredients and are listed with the Leaping Bunny organization that verifies that the products cause no animal cruelty.
Made from Earth is a great product line that not only feature the organic ingredients, as well as not causing cruelty to animals. I intend to try some of the other scents later. But I figure part of being greener is also using less and wasting less; although, this is not really an issue with this lotion, as it is 8 ounces, and a little moisturizes a good area.
Also wanted to note, that even organic products must contain a small amount of preservative, or else they would have to be stored in a refrigerator, and would not last more than a couple weeks at best. This lotion contains no parabens or harsh preservatives, no grapefruit seed extract, has 100 % vegetarian ingredients and does no animal testing.
