Backstage at Vena Cava during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week I fell in love with a Butter London nail polish shade called British Racing Green. Launching exclusively at Beauty.com in the fall, this dark shimmery green is sure to be a staple on my nails once the leaves start to change color.
To create a vibrant makeup look, celebrated makeup artist Vincent Longo sought to balance the dark and muted hues of the fabric in Vena Cava‘s fall 2009 collection with a bright, eye-catching face. Â Longo wanted to create a burst of excitement, so he applied a thick orange eye liner layered with a black liner on top to provide depth and definition for the lashes. Â He thickened and contoured the brows to frame the face, and finished the look with a natural lip and matte, porcelain complexion.

Ted Gibson wanted the hair for this show to look like the models had gone out dancing the night before and then woke up the next morning, effortlessly slicking back the sides with gel to create a slightly messy but cool rocker chic style. Ted used Ted Gibson Fix It to gel the sides, and then created texture in the back of the hair with Ted Gibson Tame It. He finished the look off with Beautiful Hold hairspray.
