With so many fabulous holiday collections making their debut this season, how is a girl supposed to choose?
With my help, that’s how.
For the next seven days, I’ll be doing my makeup with products from several of the new holiday collections. Follow along and find out which holiday makeup products I can’t live without (and which ones you should run out and get immediately!).
Today’s look was created with the following:
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer SPF15 is an amazing foundation primer that you surely have heard me talk about before, but it’s so good I’ll just tell you again. For silky-smooth skin that appears flawless, foundation that lasts all day, and a little extra sun protection, this primer is your gal. Don’t leave home during the holidays without her.
This is another staple that never leaves my Makeup Bag. On days that I want to use a different foundation with a heavier coverage, I still mix in a little of my Prescriptives Custom Blend Tinted Moisturizer because the color matches my skin so perfectly (thanks to my man Jason at Bergdorf Goodman, who custom blends like no other). If you haven’t been custom blended, please, do yourself a favor and get to it. Pronto.
This is one holiday eye palette that I can’t live without. Includes four eye shadows: Bone, Naked, Velvet Plum Metallic and Espresso. This is great for a dressed up neutral eye that’s more festive than your everyday neutral eye. This won’t be on counters long, so act fast if you think it might be for you.
MAC Beauty Powder Blush in Enough Said is from the Red She Said collection. It’s funny because this isn’t a shade I would typically select for myself. The shimmery light bronze shade looks more like bronzer than blush, especially with the flecks of gold, but it goes on so sheer and is truly flattering on my skin tone. Enough Said is only available for a limited time (surprise!) so be quick if you want it.
Santa Claus left this Stila Lip Glaze Stick in Grapefruit in Bree’s stocking several years ago. I recently found it in a pile of stuff she was throwing away (she was planning on tossing it out because she didn’t have a sharpener for it—hello crazy teenager!) and fell in love once again. (I always buy things for the girls that I would use myself. This give me hope that 1) they won’t want to pilfer coveted items from my Makeup Bag, and 2) if they don’t like it, I know exactly who to give it to.) While this is not from a holiday collection, it was the perfect end to today’s look.
Stay tuned tomorrow for Day 2 of Seven Days of Holiday Looks.
