Seven Days of Holiday Looks: Day 4
Today is the day I’m sort of feeling ridiculous for taking all these pictures.
We have Apple TV at our house which automatically syncs all the photos from my MacBook to the television. This means that the pictures scroll through in slideshow mode in between programs or while we’re playing iTunes. This also means that seemingly hundreds of images of me wearing holiday makeup (the ones where my eyes are closed, or forced open by my raised eyebrows, or closed again, or halfway closed…the ones I never bothered to delete because I’m lazy like that) are staring at me from the TV when I walk into the living room.
Yes. Feeling quite ridiculous.
Today’s holiday makeup look is a super smoky eye that looks mild in these photos. In person, this look is very dramatic and would work best for evening. Here’s what I used:
MAC Fascinating Ruby: 6 Smokey Eyes
MAC holiday palettes are always a treat because they’re all the great shades that you use together anyway, wrapped up into one chic little palette. This jeweled one, from the Passions of Red Collection, has all my favorite shades and looks great in my Makeup Bag.
MAC Beauty Powder Blush in Stark Naked
Stark Naked is a funny name for this blush because it truly looks anything but. A shimmery mid-tone mauve with gold pearl, this blush is super pretty and definitely my favorite for the holidays.
MAC Lipglass in Song and Dance
I chose Song and Dance from the Little Darlings: 5 Lipglass and Lustreglass set (from the Little Darlings Holiday collection) for this look because the shade is almost exactly the same as my natural lip color. With a dramatic smoky eye, it always look good to choose a more natural-looking lip shade.

Very pretty and fresh. These are very good colors for you.

I can just imagine all those pictures on Apple TV. LoL
I love the darker eyes/nude lips combo on you. The blush looks heavenly as well. I might just get it.
