Nic’s Sticks by OPI

A few days ago, Janey spotted an ad for Nic’s Sticks Paint & Go Nail Lacquer by OPI in US Weekly and has been carrying it around with her since, begging to get the entire collection.

We finally headed over to Target last night where they had the DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free polish pens on display.

After selecting Feeling Girly , a soft pink, and Com-pewter-ized, a pale metallic blue, she carefully painted her fingernails, alternating colors. The quick-drying formula is simple and mess-free in the Paint & Go format.

We wanted to paint our own nails with the Nic’s Sticks this morning but Janey hid them after she painted her nails last night. Living in a house full of girls, she’s learning fast.

  • What a smart Janey! I just picked up “Catch Ya Later”. They have a clever “Try It On Studio”:

    Looks easy and fun.

  • Hahaha! =P She’s so cute. I can’t wait to see Janey all grown up dressed for her first prom or something. She’s definitely learning fast. =)

  • She’s a smart cookie!
I think I need some of those paint sticks too. They sound really easy to use.

  • I have been scouring for these but I have yet to find them.

  • OPI Nic’s update: not so hot. Why?
1- One coat does not equal the “Try It On” look. May need 2 or 3 coats
2- Two nails look a bit blobby
3- It’s only 2 days old and fading. Guess a top coat is necessary.
So, back to the Avon Instant Manicure or Incoco Dry Nails.
    Aloha, Soos

  • That is just too sweet, Erika. And I am glad that she is learning fast to hide her beauty goodies.

Did she do a good job applying it herself?

  • Ahhh, I’ve been looking for someone who made nail POLISH without DBP, toluene, or formaldehyde that actually works. I’m going to scoop up a few of these and try them out. (I already found a nail CARE company– — great stuff for problem nails) Thanks, Makeup Bag!
