Nic’s Sticks by OPI

A few days ago, Janey spotted an ad for Nic’s Sticks Paint & Go Nail Lacquer by OPI in US Weekly and has been carrying it around with her since, begging to get the entire collection.

We finally headed over to Target last night where they had the DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free polish pens on display.

After selecting Feeling Girly , a soft pink, and Com-pewter-ized, a pale metallic blue, she carefully painted her fingernails, alternating colors. The quick-drying formula is simple and mess-free in the Paint & Go format.

We wanted to paint our own nails with the Nic’s Sticks this morning but Janey hid them after she painted her nails last night. Living in a house full of girls, she’s learning fast.

Makeup Bag Shapes Up

As a 37-year-old mother of four, I’m no spring chicken.

With each year that goes by, I seem to gain more and more while eating less and less. Go figure! While I wasn’t happy with the extra pounds, I didn’t completely freak out until a new bathroom scale revealed that I wasn’t really the 139 pounds I though I was.

145.8 pounds

(Thursday, May 29th)

Follow along as I humiliate myself each week with photos of my bathroom scale as I attempt to lose 20 pounds.

Shu Uemura Depsea Moisture Travel Set

Shu Uemura Depsea Moisture Travel Kit

Travel sets always catch our eye—there’s something we love about small versions of our favorite products sitting cozily in a cute travel bag.

This Depsea Moisture Travel Set from Shu Uemura houses mini versions of the popular Depsea line which uses 3 seaweed extracts and Depsea water to moisturize the skin:

  • Step 1: Depsea Moisture Lotion (50ml), an ultra-soft and lightweight toning water that smoothes and replenishes skin
  • Step 2: Depsea Moisture Replenishing Essence (30ml), a lightweight layering essence that provides the deepest hydration
  • Final Step: Depsea Moisture Replenishing Cream (13ml), an enriched, water-infused moisturizing cream that replenishes and nourishes skin.

We especially love the lightweight toning water for dry airplane cabins and hotel rooms. (Our husband applies this every day as he likes the refreshing way it moisturizes his skin.)

Packed in a convenient mesh bag to take on your travels, this Shu Uemura Depsea Moisture Travel Set is a Makeup Bag must-have. ($90 value for only $60)

Zoya Erika, part XXVIII

Okay, you’re probably sick of hearing about the Erika nail polish from the Zoya Chitchat Collection, but someone recently pointed out that I never showed you the final product.

Zoya Chitchat Collection: Erika

Thanks to my beloved Nikon D50′s current state of broken-ness I’m using a crappy little Coolpix that doesn’t want to cooperate, hence the blurry photo.

What you don’t see in this photo is that Erika has a pretty gold undertone that sparkles in the sunlight. So pretty.

What do you think? Would you wear it?
