Some new favorites for the bath

Makeup Bag Bath Favorites

Relaxing in a nice, quiet bathtub is one of our favorite things to do. (As long as the bathroom door is locked—to keep unwanted persons from barging in and insisting their progress reports be signed this very second—and the music is turned up just loud enough to drown out the noise on the other side of the door).

Over the last few months, we’ve found some great products for the bath (and shower) that you should totally know about.

Mario Russo Olive Juice in Ginger-Lime This ultra-moisturizing gel can be used as both a bubble-bath and a shower gel. The light ginger lime scent is refreshing and leaves our skin feeling soft and supple.

Molton Brown Intoxicating Davana Blossom Foaming Bath Oil This is utterly divine. Seriously—so good. Because it’s on the more expensive side ($68 for 10 oz.) we try to be conservative where this bath oil is concerned. However, if money were no option, we would bathe in this 365 days a year. And then some.

Liz Earle Energising Body Wash With a scent similar to our favorite Space NK Energising Shower Gel, this gentle cleanser with naturally active ingredients is a great way to jump-start our day.

FUCHSIA

Estee Lauder Pure Color Nail Lacquer in Fuchsia

We have a love/hate relationship with fuchsia.

Love how the jewel toned color looks on our skin (in high school, oh so many years ago, we sported fuchsia lips more often than not) (whatever—it was 1989) but hate how it’s spelled.

Fuchsia is one of those words we consistently check dictionary.com for, and then still get it wrong. If it weren’t so deep and elegant, we could all just settle for hot-pink, no?

After we told you about Estée Lauder Summer 2008: Bronze Goddess collection yesterday, we just had to sample the gorgeous Pure Color Nail Lacquer in Fuchsia. A playful bright color that looks modern and fresh, we’re certain this will be on our nails all Spring.

(Until Erika is released, that is.)

Estee Lauder Summer 2008: Bronze Goddess

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer 2008

Just in time for the warm summer months, Estée Lauder introduces the latest edition of its popular Bronze Goddess range.

This expanded Bronze Goddess color collection brings feminine, sexy and modern summer looks with hot metallic textures and bright hues. With a shimmering selection of bronzing products, radiant sun-kissed skin can be achieved without the damaging effects of the sun.

We’re especially excited about the Bronze Goddess Soft Matte Bronzer in Large Tortoise Compact and the Pure Color Nail Lacquer in Fuchsia. These are perfect accessories for a sunset cruise in the South Pacific (or a sunset cocktail hour on the back porch).

DuWop Browwow

DuWop Browwow

For years and years we’ve used the same brow kit (Benefit Brow Zings) and have had no reason to stray. In addition to just working, Brow Zings lasts forever making it unnecessary to purchase anything new.

During New York Fashion Week last month, we got our hands on a sample of DuWop Browwow in Darker and our beloved Brow Zings has been left in the dust.

DuWop Browwow has a softer wax that blends naturally and a shimmer cream highlighter to enhance browbones. While the teeny little brush is not practical for everyday use (we use our Benefit Hard Angle Brush for that) it does come in handy for travel.

We can’t imagine ever going back.

Browwow also comes in Lighter and is available at sephora.com.
