Our trip to New York last week found us on the upper west side celebrating the MAC AIDS Fund’s momentous milestone—$100 million raised to help fight HIV and AIDS around the world.

That’s a lot of VIVA GLAM Lipstick and Lipglass!

Over the last 13 years, the MAC AIDS Fund has counted on celebrity spokespeople to help raise money and awareness for the fight against HIV and AIDS. Both R&B artist, Eve, and burlesque star, Dita Von Teese, appeared at the Columbus Ave MAC store last Thursday to help celebrate this amazing milestone.

And we were there, too!

“The celebrities who have joined us over the years embody the spirit of MAC and the MAC AIDS Fund—every race, every sex, every age,” said MAC AIDS Fund Chairman and MAC President, John Demsey. “By bringing these new faces to VIVA GLAM, we have been able to keep not only the brand but the cause fresh for consumers, helping to drive the MAC AIDS Fund to new levels.”

100% of the sale price of every VIVA GLAM product is donated to the MAC AIDS Fund to support men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS globally.

We’re finally back home after a whirlwind trip to New York.

Thanks to Total Beauty, who invited us to serve on their Blog Community Advisory Board and be a part of this incredible beauty tour, we experienced a day and a half of non-stop fun. We learned about new prestige beauty products, toured beauty departments at Bergdorf Goodman, Henry Bendel and Space NK, and met the publisher and beauty editors of Allure. (We sat next to Amy Keller, Allure beauty director who has the most gorgeous skin ever, and across from Fiona Gibb, Allure Web editor whose sassy bangs we’re coveting, during lunch.)

Aside from meeting the editors of our favorite magazines, the highlight of our trip was hanging out with some of the best beauty bloggers on the internet. It was great to see our friend Kristen from Beauty Addict again and so much fun to meet new friends Annie from Blogdorf Goodman, Tia from Shake Your Beauty, Michelle from All Lacquered Up, Connie & Caroline from The Daily Obsession, and Sara from Bit by the Beauty Bug.

We sampled some amazing new products and had some wonderful experiences that we’ll be telling you all about in the coming weeks.
