It's definitely only for skin that is at least somewhat dry. If your skin isn't dry at all, it will be too heavy and dewy. I have combination skin three seasons a year. It goes a bit dry in the winter though. This is perfect for my dry winter skin. I don't have to apply moisturizer beforehand and it lasts all day. It also gives my skin a nice glow.
