New! Pure Color Glosses

Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss

Estée Lauder Pure Color Gloss is one of our absolute favorite glosses. It’s sheer and shiny with a lightweight texture and lasts longer than most other glosses.

Also, it comes in a sleek, square, gold tube that just looks so pretty in our Makeup Bag. (This is very important because a girl’s lipgloss can’t only be functional- what fun is that?).

This month, Pure Color Gloss has gotten even better. The tube that we love is now longer and more elegant, and the new formula is now available in 12 new shades of Pure Color Gloss and 12 new shades of Pure Color Crystal Gloss (a tad more sheer and shimmery).

Pure Color Gloss

Here’s the new colors:

Pure Color Gloss

  • Clear
  • Pink Glaze
  • Fresh Berry (A Makeup Bag favorite)
  • Nude Rose
  • Rosebud
  • Tearose (A Makeup Bag favorite)
  • Rhubarb
  • Orchid
  • Almond
  • Quartz
  • Cranberry
  • Burgundy

Pure Color Crystal Gloss

  • Star Pink
  • Candy (A Makeup Bag favorite)
  • Sweet Pea
  • Praline
  • Plum
  • Ginger
  • Peach Nectar (A Makeup Bag favorite)
  • Pink Coral
  • Honey Glaze
  • Light Copper
  • Sugar Cane
  • Garnet

(Some of these colors are still available in the original Pure Color Gloss formula).

But here’s the best news of all- the new Pure Color Gloss is $18. That’s TWO DOLLARS less than the original formula.

Estée Lauder New Pure Color Gloss is now available at Esteelauder.com and at Estée Lauder counters nationwide.

When people talk, Urban Decay listens

Holy smoked oysters, have you seen the new Urban Decay eye shadows?

Urban Decay

Urban Decay

Six amazing new colors are now available, thanks to suggestions and requests from Urban Decay customers (read: US!).

We’ve ordered Sellout and Stray Dog because we’re neutral like that, and Flash because it will look hot with our new t-shirt.

The other new shades are Flipside (electric teal with blue sheen), Jones (golden peachy-orange) and Toasted (rich copper).

Check them all out here.

Paint on falsies? We think not.

You all know that we’re part Japanese, right?

One-quarter to be exact.

While some people can instantly see the asian in us, many people have no idea. That is, until they see our eyelashes. We’ve whined about them before, and we’ll most certainly whine about them again, but waaaaah! our lashes suck.

Imju Fiberwig Mascara This morning we finally tried Japan’s number one selling mascara, Imju Fiberwig, that claims to create “false eyelash-like” results with its fiber-filled formula.

Hmmmm. If it’s good enough for the Japanese girls, it has to be good enough for us, no?

NO.

We are sadly disappointed in this mascara. While it does slightly lengthen lashes with its tiny fibers, they point off our natural lash tips in different directions giving us a look we’re not particularly keen on sporting.

After 4 coats of this, our lashes were slightly longer with no volume whatsoever. Also, it did not hold the curl we had crimped into our lashes with our new Shu Uemura eyelash curler, leaving us with our normal stick-straight lashes.

With no time to remove and re-apply our makeup, we turned to our favorite pair of Brown Cross lashes and we’re now good to go.

Our cousin, Cindi, just moved to Japan last month and we’re going to ask her to scoop this out for us. Is it really the must-have mascara in Japan? Because, really, we find it hard to believe.
