All hell has broken loose at the Makeup Bag household.

A few weeks ago, we got our hands on a Sedu Revolution flat iron and our life has not been the same since. Not only do we all have incredibly sleek, shiny hair, but also battle scars and bruises and a few missing fingers. (Just kidding). (Sort of).

They are actually sneaking into each other’s rooms in the middle of the night to find where their sister has hid the coveted straightener. (In our thirteen year old’s case: UNDER HER PILLOW!)

We are not joking when we tell you that all hell has broken loose because tomorrow morning, our younger teenager leaves on a spring break trip to Washington DC and New York with her entire 8th grade class and, according to her, the beloved Sedu. Her sister is livid and will do everything in her power to keep that Sedu from getting on a plane tomorrow.

The only way to keep the peace is to get another Sedu.

When we first spied the Estée Lauder Heritage Collection last month at Neiman Marcus, we initially thought it was vintage.

Upon closer look, we realized that the limited edition Heritage Collection is a selection of signature Lauder products repackaged for a new generation of women.

The piece that grabbed us the most is the blue globe-shaped pendant that houses the classic White Linen parfum in a solid form. We later found out that this pendant is an exact replica of one developed by Mrs. Estée Lauder. This gorgeous pendant hangs from a gold-plated chain necklace and reminds us of our own grandmother in whose vanity we discovered White Linen over two decades ago.

We also love the Face Glow Compact which is a versatile cream blush luminizer packaged in a gold compact that features the blue and white pattern seen throughout this collection and the three vintage lipstick colors- Polished Plum (our favorite), Civilized Rose and Sandbar Beige- brought back and reworked for maximum wearability.
