Clinique to the rescue!

Clinique Continuous Rescue Antioxidant Moisturizer

With so many new products hitting the market these days, each making claims to slow the aging process and give us youthfully vibrant skin, we’re finding it hard to keep up. Pomegranate, vitamin C, lipids, antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, glycerine, salicylic acid… our head is spinning as we try to remember what these ingredients do and if our skin type will really benefit from them.

Lucky for us, skincare giant and cult favorite Clinique has done all the research and gives us our answer: Continuous Rescue Antioxidant Moisturizer.

We’ve all heard about antioxidants and how we not only benefit from eating foods rich in them, but also from applying them topically to protect our skin from dangerous free radicals brought on by ultraviolet rays, smoke and pollution. Something we did not know about free radicals is that in addition to causing immediate damage to the skin, they can also have a delayed effect and do more damage later. Um, that’s DOUBLE the free radical damage we thought we were getting. Not good.

In Continuous Rescue Antioxidant Moisturizer, Clinique has developed a unique antioxidant complex to fight the first wave of damage immediately and delayed-release antioxidants to fight that pesky second wave as well. All this in one little tube! (A little tube made of polyfoil to protect the integrity of the ingredients by minimizing their exposure to light and air, we might add).

So girls, drink lots of water, exercise daily, eat your leafy green veggies, and for the love of your skin, protect it from those free radicals, would you?

  • I am so happy to see Clinique finally packaging their wonderful moisturizers in tubes instead of jars!! But where’s the sunscreen? At $40 for 1.7oz, I was hoping to see at least some SPF15 in there!

  • I know! Tubes are great… And they’re suggesting this be used at night for best results. If you choose to use it for daytime, they say to add an SPF over it.

  • I love the ad for this. It just makes me want to go and eat healthy. And buy their moisturizer!

  • Way too expensive for 1.7 oz. I loved the concept until I saw the price. No SPF? Come on Clinique!?!
