It’s Friday!

And I’ve been tagged to participate in a little game, so what the hell, here goes:

Five Things About Erika

1. On any given day, you will most likely find a chunky silver ring on the middle finger of my right hand. (I have a few dozen of these for just this purpose.)

2. I have two dogs: A purebred-troublemaking Siberian Husky named Jack and a Shih-Tzu/Yorkie mix named Lulu. If Jack ever gets loose, he races through the neighborhood laughing at me because I can’t catch him. Hours later, he will come home and collapse on the front lawn from exhaustion. For this reason, he must never get loose.

3. My favorite time of day is dawn. I wake up at 5 o’clock every morning to work on Makeup Bag before getting ready for my ‘real’ job.

4. I’ve never had a cavity. Or braces.

5. My favorite colors are green and red.

After weeks of grossing out our husband with sick amounts of body oil (he has a serious aversion to any kind of oil on his skin and has to actually LEAVE THE BATHROOM when we apply it lest he gag from the disgustingness of it) we changed our routine this morning and covered ourself in Keri Nourishing Shea Butter Moisture Therapy.

We’ve been trying for years to love Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss but we just can’t get past the stiff, hard bristled applicator brush. Would it be too much to ask for an applicator that doesn’t resemble a weapon? How about just put them into a pot like the limited-edition Heather Pink from the Spring Violet Collection. That would make us happy.

In spite of the brush we hate, we still buy Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss when there’s a color we can’t live without and just apply it with our fingertip or a different brush.

Lately, we’ve been loving the Matte Stain For Lips which gives us six great colors (Cabernet, Chili, Cayenne, Candy, Desert Clay and Clay) in a creamy-matte stain that leaves lips soft and velvety.
