Smashbox Spring 2007 Color Collection

Smashbox has released its spring color collection called Tokidoki, meaning “sometimes” in Japanese.

The packaging for this collection features a little tokidoki magic makeup angel that offers beauty advice with the wave of her wand. Our very own magic makeup angel!
The two eyeshadow quads in Modella (Chocolate Brown, Peach, Baby Blue, Pearl) and Celebrita (Vibrant Purple, Pewter, Soft Pink, Bone) are fun and flirty.
And we can’t wait to try Artificial Light, a sheer luminizer that blends into your favorite foundation or body lotion to give you an all over glow.
Also in this collection are two lip glosses in Dolcissima (light pink) and Dramatica (bright pink.) We’ve mentioned before how brush applicators for lip gloss are not our favorite, but Dolcissima is right up our alley.
Our favorite part of this new collection is the Tokidoki Skin Tint in Bella, an oil-free sheer color for lips and cheeks. This formula contains vitamins A, C & E, echinacea and aloe. Also? Our very own magic makeup angel.
Smashbox Spring 2007 Color Collection, $178 (entire collection)

Hmm, I’m not sure I like this. As a general rule, Smashbox is one of my favorite lines and maybe it’s because it’s makeup for grownups. This looks like Hello Kitty and I would feel ridiculous buying it. Hope it’s not a trend!

I got the skin tint this weekend and I’m loving it. It blends pretty well and the color almost makes me look like a teenager again.

I feel the tokidoki color line by Smashbox is magical! It is refreshing to see such a high end brand create something so feminine and girly. I love the lip gloss, it is super shiny and the color is very wearable.
