Why can’t we just forget about the shimmer already?

So, of course we placed our Friends & Family order this week. Didn’t you?

It was on the top of our list of things to do before leaving town for the Turkey Extravaganza, right before packing and counting heads to make sure we didn’t forget anyone.Tarte All That Glitters Sampler Set

One thing we couldn’t resist is the Tarte All That Glitters Sampler Set.

And unlike most little sampler sets, it’s not only the sassy gold quilted clutch that we want. This twinkling set includes a double ended gloss, a cheek stain, an eyeshadow palette and a gold eyeliner because it wants to make sure we are prepared for the holidays. See? It cares about us!

This $102 value is selling for only THIRTY EIGHT dollars at Sephora. A steal! (Also, a perfect gift for that friend who has everything.)

Keeping us wanting for more

Gah!

It seems like every time we find something we can’t live without, it’s SOLD OUT.

NARS Eyeliner

Like these magnificent eyeliners from NARS. Of the thirteen colors, only six are still available:

  • Shake Down (chic burgundy)
  • Neverland (shimmering turquoise)
  • Showgirl (gold lame)
  • Blue Nile (blue violet)
  • Ghost (deep amethyst)
  • Moon River (navy blue)

Of course, just not the colors that we want: Sri Lanka (black with green shimmer) and Equus (black with gold shimmer)

We’ve heard wonderful things about this long-wearing cream based eyeliner and hope our colors become available soon (Do you hear that, Francois?)

If you like any of the six listed above, get right on it. Or, like us, you just might be sorry.

Tip: Use powder puff to pat (don’t rub) lightly across nose, cheeks and forehead (or anywhere you dare to bare.)

Chantecaille Aquablush

Have you ever been to a makeup counter and laughed silently to yourself when the sales associate reached for a color that was ALL WRONG for you? That you would look utterly clownish in? That you would rather suffer through a bowl of tomato soup (yuck!) than spend your hard earned money on?

This sort of happened to us at the Chantecaille counter, except instead of laughing silently, we did it out loud, “Ahahaahaha. Oh no, you silly thing. That color is not at all right for us. Ahahahah. You’re joking, right?”

Thankfully we didn’t hurt the poor girl’s feelings (calling her a silly thing and all) because we had to eat our words. She was TOTALLY RIGHT.

Chantecaille Aqua Blush

The Aquablush by Chantecaille in Enchanting is the perfect color to give us a subtle glow without looking like we even have blush on.

This formula is 50% water and ultra-fine powder which creates a refreshing, smooth, luminous finish.

Also, this moisturizing gel-stick is packed with essential oils to nourish the skin and has SFP 8 to protect from UVA/UVB rays.

Aquablush comes in 6 pretty shades, but don’t be fooled. You must try them for yourself.
