Perfectly clean

Taking care of our skin is a high priority for us, much like Bluefly’s high priority should be to stop sending us emails each day asking us to play their Ultimate Shoe Giveaway when THE DAMN GAME ENDED THREE DAYS AGO.

Because the first morning we got the email we tried to click through but got the message, “Sorry. This promotion has ended.” So we thought, Bummer. Didn’t win. But that was fun.

The second morning we got the email and were like, Oh Yay! It’s not really over. They sent us another email! But when we clicked through, PSYCH! WE TOLD YOU THIS PROMOTION HAS ENDED, LOSER.

You think we would have learned our lesson by the third morning, but NO. Not when there’s a slight possibility we could win some Christian Louboutin pumps. Come on!

We ever so gently clicked through and squeezed our eyes shut hoping the magical little red claw would appear, giving us hope once again. But you know what we saw when we opened our eyes. YOU SAW IT TOO!

Please Bluefly, if we wake up tomorrow morning and there is ANOTHER email in our inbox asking us if we’re feeling lucky today, we might have to take drastic measures. And it’s not because we didn’t win. Swear!

So as we were saying, we take our skincare regime very seriously. Each product that we use has a specific job to do on our face, and we are careful to use each accordingly. For example, on the mornings we exfoliate, we don’t use our toner with salicylic acid because that’s too harsh for our skin. On the nights we use our kojic acid skin lightening gel, we skip the Creme de la Mer because it doesn’t absorb properly over the kojic acid product. However, we still need to use Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean a rich moisturizer, so we opt for something less expensive, like Clinique’s Total Turnaround Visible Skin Renewer. Now if we decide to use a vitamin-C complex, then scratch the kojic acid. And if we don’t exfoliate, then we use our favorite cleanser with glycolic acid. And if we’re feeling lucky, we click through and are told we’re a loser because Hello? That promotion ended three days ago.

It’s all very confusing, and technical, and medical. And sometimes, we just want something that cleans the makeup off our face and smells nice.

Enter Estée Lauder Perfectly Clean Foaming Cleanser, which is at once refreshing, gentle and smells exceptional. There’s nothing confusing or technical or medical about it.

Just a lovely cleanser.

  • I just want to thank you for admitting that you kept clicking through the Bluefly Ultimate Shoe Giveaway emails…I, too kept falling for their ruse, thinking that maybe I was chosen especially to keep playing, even though the contest had ended for other people. And now I feel comfortable admitting it! BTW, there was not email today – maybe Bluefly read your post and realized that they were stringing us along :)

  • I know! Nobody likes to be strung along, especially where designer shoes are concerned :)
