MAC Holiday 2006Today is the day that the MAC Holiday collection went on sale at our local MAC counter and we could hardly sleep last night.

As soon as our schedule permitted, we rushed over and saw this gorgeous Formal Black Collection live and in person. (This also gave us a chance to stop by the Chanel counter to check on the progress of Black Satin, which sadly is still en route. The good news is that we’re NUMBER SEVEN on the list, so there’s a good chance we’ll get a bottle when, or should we say if, the shipment ever arrives.)

All of the Formal Black eyeshadow palettes are incredible, but the one that has us swooning is Velvet, a sultry collection of smoky hues that we just might marry if it weren’t for the fact that we’re already married. DAMN.

In addition to Velvet, we also walked away with Pleat a palette of six cool colors that are just too pretty to not be ours, Pigment in Subtle, and a bottle of Nocturnelle polish just in case we’re SOL in the Black Satin department.

And now, dear friends, we are complete.

  • ahhhhhhhhhh………that velvet palette is looking so nice. I will run to get it today! as for the black polish, I opted for OPI Lincoln Park After Dark and I must say it’s beautiful next to my lilly white skin. :)

  • That palette IS beautiful. Dovefeather is one of my favorite eyeshadows, it’s severely underrated.

  • […] And walk away feeling slightly (ever so slightly) smug, because Nocturnelle is exactly what we’d hoped it would be. And more. […]
