For days when “pretty” seems further away than the horizon
We’re a little under the weather this week, fighting the sniffles, a sore throat, and an overwhelming desire to curl up in a set of 600 thread count sheets and sleep for the next three days.
Despite our suffering, however, the show must go on.
And so we drag ourself out of bed and into the shower where we stand under the scalding hot water for 34 minutes, not thinking of the havoc we’re wreaking on our skin but wondering how we’re going to muster the strength to get ourself ready for work.
On days like these, we don’t have to dig too deep into our makeup bag because Stila has just the product we need to give our ruddy, tottering complexion a happy little boost. All Over Shimmer Liquid Luminizer adds sheen and luminosity when we need it the most. Our favorite shade is number 3 as it has just enough yellow to combat the redness that this nasty cold has left us with and shimmer to give our skin a glow.
This doesn’t mean we no longer feel like sleeping for three days, but at least we have the confidence to get out the door.

I’m really interested in these illuminators. Care to tell us how to apply these?

I like to use illuminators on the top edge of my cheekbone, up high. (Think of the area where you would apply eye cream, and apply illuminator just below that.) The illuminator will highlight this area and bring shimmer and glowiness to your face. It’s amazing what this one little trick can do!
Also, apply illuminator last. If you try to put powder over it, the color will grab and look splotchy.

Thanks! I’ll give it a try. I love the idea, but I’m afraid of the shimmer going on too strong, and that I’ll end up looking like one of those bike reflector lights.
