Luxurious eyeshadow

Chanel Silvery EyeshadowLast week at the Chanel counter, I found the most amazing shade of silver eyeshadow in Chanel’s new fall color line. It is seriously so beautiful, I have been saving it for the last six days—taking a moment each morning to admire the shiny black case and perfect smoothness of the untouched makeup—being ever so careful as to not breathe on it or leave fingerprints on the case.

This morning I couldn’t take it any longer and finally unwrapped and applied Silvery. This eyeshadow is everything Ithought it could be and more. The shadow is made of ultra-fine powder and goes on smooth and even.

In fact, I’m going back to get a few more colors from this Ombre Essentielle collection of 18 shades in matte, shimmer and satin finishes.

Chanel Ombre Essentielle Eyeshadow in Silvery, $26.5

The Madonna of Cleansers

Biomedic Purifying CleanserEver since my mom brought me to the Lancome counter in ninth grade and treated me to my first REAL skincare regimen (Ablutia Gel Cleanser, Tonique Douceur, Clarifiance Moisturizer) I have realized the benefits of taking good care of my skin.

Many years and many, MANY products later, La Roche-Posay’s Biomedic Purifying Cleanser stands out to me as the leader in facial cleansers. With glycolic acid, vitamin E and antioxidants, this gentle cleanser deeply cleans pores while improving the texture and tone of skin.

If you’re prone to breakouts or would like to brighten your skin, this cleanser is for you.

Unfortunately, this product can only be purchased through your dermatologists office.

Biomedic Purifying Cleanser by La Roche-Posay, Approximately $30 (Prices vary)

Sunday’s Effortless Skin

Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 is the perfect tinted moisturizer for a lazy Sunday.

I put it on this morning for a trip to Starbucks and a leisurely drive, and not only did it give me a subtle shimmer but protected me from the sun’s morning rays.

At first, the oil-free formula feels a little stickier than I like, but before long it melted into my skin for effortless moisture and coverage.

Add lip gloss and voila! I’m ready to face the day.

Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 is available online at StilaCosmetics.com for $32.

When Life Gives You Lemons, well, you know…

Philosophy Lemonade Hand CreamMy friend Ann turned me on to this incredibly yummy, perfectly moisturizing, not at all greasy hand cream by Philosophy.

I might even go as far as saying I like it more than my beloved L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream.

Maybe.

Philosophy, $15
